Each session begins with a short consultation between recipient and therapist about any issues they may be experiencing. They may be physical, psychological or circumstantial. This helps the therapist gain an overall perspective on the recipient’s wellbeing and requirements.
The recipient then lies fully clothed on the healing couch, with their eyes closed, whilst the therapist places his/her hands on or around the body. In this stage of the process, the therapist feels for any energy blockages, which may be as a result of ego patterns, trapped energies, negative emotions or thought processes. The therapist then channels the healing energies into the body, gently and non-invasively releasing the blockages as the positive energy starts to circulate freely around the body.
Because the process is unique to each recipient, many different responses may be experienced in a Gaia Healing session. By far the most common reaction is a wonderful sense of deep relaxation, peace, warmth and revitalized energy as the mind, body and spirit are brought back into their natural balance.
Recipients of Gaia Healing can also experience the resurfacing of old emotions as the energy channels become unblocked. This is perfectly natural and necessary at times and can be a very rewarding part of the process as the emotions can be revisited and addressed with the benefit of hindsight. Generally speaking however, the process is often so relaxing and comforting that people can fall asleep during the session!
At the end of the treatment both recipient and therapist have an opportunity to discuss the types of sensations, thoughts or feelings experienced during the session. This allows the recipient to express, analyse and process any responses to the therapy in a supportive and confidential setting.
At this time, the therapist is often able to provide an intuitive diagnosis of the types of spiritual, mental and physiological issues that the recipient may have experienced, including any information or professional insights that are felt within the session by the therapist.
